BIOGRAPHY

Belgian soprano An-Sofie Moons grew up in a musical family and started her own musical career at a very young age. She obtained her Master's degree magna cum laude from the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp in the singing studio of Gary Jankowski. Afterwards she specialized through the European Opera Academy at ESMAE in Porto and the Conservatorio di Musica Luigi Cherubini in Florence.

She has portrayed many roles in musical theatre such as Maria in The Sound Of Music and Chava in Fiddler On The Roof. In 2026 she made her role debut as Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde and in 2027 she will make her role debut as Anastasia in the same named musical. 
In other productions she has played roles in operas such as Le Nozze di Figaro (Susanna), Die Zauberflöte (1st Knabe), Albert Herring (Cis) and Dark Sisters (Almera).

In 2026 she is the lead vocalist for the complete European tour of My Hero Academia in Concert and in 2025 she was a vocalist for the European tour of Avatar: The Last Airbender in concert and the  premiere of The Witcher in concert.

In 2025 and 2026 she was a soloist for the Cinemusic Orchestra in the Netherlands.

In 2021 An-Sofie won the Hans Judenkünig Preise for most promising young artist during the masterclass ‘Lute song’ lead by Robert Crowe and Sigmund Richter.

In addition to the stage, An-Sofie is also active as a vocal teacher and band/musical theatre coach.
