BIOGRAPHY

Belgian soprano An-Sofie Moons grew up in a musical family and started her own musical career at a very young age. She obtained her Master's degree magna cum laude from the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp in the singing studio of Gary Jankowski. Afterwards she specialized through the European Opera Academy at ESMAE in Porto and the Conservatorio di Musica Luigi Cherubini in Florence.


During her studies An-Sofie had the opportunity to participate in several productions such as Die Zauberflöte (1st Knabe), Albert Herring (Cis) and scenes from Dark Sisters (Almera) during the American Music Festival. In other productions she played the part of Maria in The Sound Of Music and Chava in Fiddler On The Roof.

An-Sofie created a musical theatre called "En ik dan?" as a part of her graduation project. This performance contained 9 singers and 5 musicians and had unique musical arrangements, choreographies and a uniquely written script.


In 2021 An-Sofie won the Hans Judenkünig Preise for most promising young artist during the masterclass ‘Lute song’ lead by Robert Crowe and Sigmund Richter.

In addition to the stage, An-Sofie is also active as a vocal teacher and vocal coach in musical theater and musical productions.
